Wind Turbine Service Technician is currently the fastest growing job in the nation. The wind industry has grown 800% during the past decade. And employment is growing at about 25% per year.

This small wind course is designed for beginners, so experience with electric or electronics is not necessary. In this class you will gain practical real world hands-on experience and will be job ready to join one of the fastest growing industries in the U.S.

You will practice on a working wind system, dismantling and reinstalling it, troubleshooting and ensuring its proper operation. You will learn how to integrate battery backup as well as become familiar with the latest emerging wind technologies. You will also learn how to incorporate solar panels into the system. The course concludes with an industry-recognized certification examination.

Registration Includes: instruction, textbook, starter tool kit, and the ETA Small Wind Installer certification exam.

This course prepares you to sit for the ETA Small Wind Installer (SWI) Certification exam. It is the first level of ETA’s certifications designed to assess renewable energy professionals. It is also a great first step for those seeking to enter the wind industry.

This course is offered throughout the midwest in partnership with several not-for-profits.  The fee for this one-week course is $970 and includes:  Instruction, hands-on labs, textbook and lab material, and ETA examination.  This course is also eligible for VA and Americorps funding.  Scholarships may also be available based on need.  Contact us at 740-674-4300 for further details regarding the management of fees.
